The intent of the rankings is to stimulate greater interest in the sport of Goalie Wars and to recognize those players that are attaining remarkable success on a local, regional and national level.
The NGWA currently ranks players based on tournament results, stats and level of competition. Regional and national tournament results typically are weighted more in the rankings than local tournaments because of the level and size of competition. The NGWA considers the number of games played and each player's goals against average and goals per game scored average. We do not consider stats that result from friendly matches.
The 2008 National Goalie War Rankings include players 12 and older who have earned a mimimum number of points for competing since our last national championship in March 2006. The 2008 rankings will be used to seed players invited to the 2008 National Goalie War Championships.
