This is no bowling league my friend… You crave real excitement and competition. You want the chance to prove your soccer skills against the best. Not just at tournaments, but every single week. You’re in luck. Now all the intensity of Goalie Wars is available to you each week in a team format specially designed by the NGWA for local league play.
Goalie Wars is the ultimate in ‘keeper combat. Two keepers go head to head with each other. Two goals. Twenty-four yards apart. All out war. You will throw, head and volley balls at one another every 6 seconds for 2 minutes. Two minutes of the most intense competition you can find in all of sports. Goalie War League teams consist of 3 to 5 rostered players who rotate through six 2-minute battles during a twelve minute game. Each team competes in two games each week. During a ten week season, each team plays the others in its division 6 times. Rivalries will intensify and you and your teammates will strategize how to match up best against "the enemy" to increase your chances for victory.
You can form your own team of 3 to 5 players in your age group, or register individually and we’ll assign you to a team. Male and female teams are forming in all the traditional age classifications from U-10 on up to Adult. Games will be played weekly. We’ll start with a week of organization and instruction, followed by 9 weeks of the most intense competition you can imagine. Each week team and individual stats will be tabulated and results will be available on the NGWA website. At the end of the season, division champions will be eligible to compete in the National Goalie War League Champions tournament. Or, your Area Director may form All-Star teams to compete at the National level.
