Bracketing
Players will be grouped by age and gender. Each
age/gender division will participate in their own tournament. The
number of players in each division may vary. The NGWA reserves the
right to combine divisions depending upon the number of
participants. No more than two successive divisions will be combined
without player/parent consent. There
will be up to 20 age/gender groups as follows:

Rules of Engagement
(ROE)

Number and Length of
Games
All
players are guaranteed at least three matches. Each Goalie War
game is five (5) minutes, including up to a one-minute half time
interval.

Championship Format
- GOALIE WARS ONLY!!
- GOALIE WARS
ONLY!! Each division will be divided into groups. Each
group will play a round robin format. The players with the
highest scores, within their divisions, after round robin
play will advance to a single elimination play-off round.
The number of players advancing to the play-offs may vary
for each division. The semifinalist of each division will
advance to the finals and square off on center court to play
one final Goalie War match to determine the National Goalie
War Champion.

Ball Handlers
Each
player may have no more than four Ball Handlers to retrieve and
supply balls for distribution. Ball Handlers must abide by the
rules found in the Rules of Engagement handbook. A limited
number of Ball Handlers will be provided for players that have
no teammates, family or friends in attendance to support them.

Field of Play
All
games will be played on official Goalie War® fields as described
in the Rules of Engagement handbook. The field of play, goals and
balls will be modified in size for U10 and U11 players 11.
|

- Balls
- All
games will be played with official NGWA size 5 soccer balls.
Size 4 balls will be used for U10 and U11 players. The NGWA
shall supply all balls for the tournament.

- All games will be refereed
by NGWA certified officials.

WEATHER
Adverse
weather conditions may result in the delay of games or the
rescheduling of the tournament.
AGE
VERIFICATION
The
NGWA reserves the right to verify any and all information
submitted. Inaccurate information is immediate grounds for
disqualification. In the event of a dispute, all players will
have at their immediate disposal some form of documentation
verifying their age (i.e. birth certificate, drivers license,
etc) Failure to provide such documentation could result in the
player being suspended from playing until such documentation
can be obtained.
REFUND
If
your request for a refund is received by the NGWA in writing
on or before the registration deadline, the NGWA will issue a
90% refund. No refunds will be issued after the registration
deadline.
CONDUCT
The
NGWA does not tolerate any unsportsmanlike or disruptive
behavior at any of its sanctioned tournaments by any player,
coach, supporter or spectator. Anyone found to be in violation
of this policy will be escorted off the tournament grounds,
reported to their team, club, league and/or association and
prohibited from participating in future Goalie War
tournaments. NGWA security will be on hand to ensure a safe
and fun tournament for all.

NGWA, its agents and organizers reserve the right to make any
changes with respect to the above.
