Jeff Nelson is a successful inventor, entrepreneur, and businessman with an extensive background in event planning, law, insurance, and finance. A former NCAA Division II Regional All-American Goalkeeper, his experience led him to develop the extreme sport of Goalie Wars®. Jeff created and copyrighted the rules governing the sport and, in 2002, founded the National Goalie War Association (NGWA).
The NGWA supports the development and promotion of goalkeeping through the sport of Goalie Wars® by organizing tournaments throughout the United States for thousands of athletes and spectators. As the founder and executive director, Jeff helped build his brand by securing national sponsorships and various licensing agreements. During this time, he also coached goalkeepers at the youth and collegiate level and has continued to do so for the past 35 years.
Prior to developing Goalie Wars®, Jeff served seven years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he successfully investigated and prosecuted multiple high profile investment schemes and crimes involving public corruption. In 2005, he obtained his insurance license and currently owns a successful insurance and financial planning firm. He is a licensed attorney, Certified Financial Planner™ and is currently licensed to sell insurance, securities, mortgages, and banking products.
In his free time, Jeff loves spending time with his wife and four children playing sports, traveling and being outdoors.
